The volunteers last week got stuck in at Moor Green Lakes, clearing lakeside scrub from Long Island. This helps to provide a more open meadow which is better suited to overwintering wildfowl. We also set up 2 fires to burn off half the brash left by contractors, who felled some larger trees along the ditch. Laura came out to play to so she could use the chainsaw to stump up and treat the stumps with herbicide. The goats also came to play, but this time they munched less sandwiches….
