On Tuesday the volunteers enjoyed a picnic at Hawley Meadows, complete with enough food to make everyone feel like they should of stopped at the third scrumptious homemade cake. It’s a popular tradition where we lay out a feast for lunchtime, in a large gazebo which came in useful to keep off the rather soggy sunshine. The volunteers built up an appetite in the morning cutting back the paths and the car park entrance, so the site looks a lot more welcoming now. I think the left-over cakes will keep us well fuelled on the next task. Thanks to everyone for all their help.
